Get iPhone SE to boot without screen

Hi

I am Trying to figgure out how i can get an iphone se to boot without a screen.

I just want to run some xcode uitests on there. so i dont need a screen.

when i power up the phone with screen and then disconnect it everything continues to work. but if i power it up without screen xcode wont let me start the tests.

so i guess somewhere during boot it checks if the screen is connected.

Does someone know how exactly it checks this ?

Hi

If the computer “trusts” the device and there is no passcode, it should boot recognize without a screen.

sometimes if the phone is restarted then you might need to “press the home button” to get pass the home screen

so basically you have 2 options to attach a home button

1) just add the home button to the dock connector without the screen attached

2) buy those lightning to home button things, which will allow you to use that as the button
