i have the problem that my apple tv 2g won't recovered by itunes. it's only in the DFU mode. itunes say that the firmware of the apple tv is broken and can't recover the firmware. (error 1600 or 3194)
latest version of itunes
is there any way to reset the flash on a hardware based way?
or is it not possible after that to reinstall the firmware?

Are you restoring the newest firmware? iTunes will not restore an older version of the firmware. Once the device is in DFU mode, it should restore normally. You could try restoring on a different computer, if using the newest firmware doesn't work.
