Check the pins on the AC adapter. Move them to see if they are free and not stuck with a toothpick. Next check the out put with a multimeter. See the pinout on the right side of this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe
Check the magsafe input on the Book for crud and/or corrosion and clean it. Test with another AC adapter. You may need to replace the adapter or the MagSafe board.

I assume you mean the light on the AC adapter. I had this same problem with my MBCD.
Try a different outlet and if that doesn't work buy a new adapter.
