after water damage rapid battery drain

I've opened the phone and dried everything. I've replaced the battery, an have had the phone working after a full charge. It stays powered for about 90 minutes then is completely drained. It usually has to sit for 1 full day before it will take a charge again.

Did I not connect the battery correctly or could something else cause it to charge them discharge so fast?

May have blown something on the board, does the device heat up more than usual??

Probably wouldn't hurt to do a restore as well.

would there be a visual sign that something is blown? Everything looks clean

Carefully examine top and bottom for any marks of corrosion or even burn damage. It's possible to have occurred under the shielding but it occurs at connection points frequently.

Do you notice any extra heat than before?

ok, it appears to hold the charge longer now, I opened it again and used 99% IPA, Now the screen has a definite "flicker". I can live with that but do you think it will get better or should I be prepared for more repair work?

so,...now it kept full charge for about 2 hours , used the phone ok,for about an hour different functions, apps, all worked fine. them immediate power loss. (It appears to wait until I'n not looking) will have to wait a few hours before it will take a charge again. No heat. is it possible to replace the logic board or is than maybe not even the problem.?

try cleaning it again, sometimes it takes a few cleans before you reassemble!
