Trackpad replacement?

Is it possible to replace a trackpad? Or repair an oversensitive trackpad on the computer? If so is it very difficult?

iFixit sells a replacement trackpad with the upper case: MacBook Pro 15" (Model A1226) Upper Case

It is listed as "moderate" difficulty. In my experience, if you are careful and take your time, sort screws as you remove them, you'll be fine.

Cheers!

Unfortunately, the trackpad itself is not replaceable, so Push Eject's advice is the best that can be done.

This may be a bit simplistic but try going into your System Preferences - Hardware - Trackpad and adjust the tracking speed and scrolling speed. Easy to do and very cheap.

Hi,I was wondering,if there is a chance to replace a TopCase along with a trackpad from my Macbook Pro A1226(late 2007) for a newer Trackpad from a 2008 model (Last before Unibody models) . I really want to have that "inertial scroll" which the upper model has,and mine (late 2007) doesn't. Any chance?
