Touchscreen no longer functional after possible update?

I have had my laptop for about 5 months now, and the touchscreen stopped functioning after about 3 months. I searched this up on Google and tried all the solutions, but none of them worked. I don’t think this is a hardware issue, as this has occurred to many people after a software update? The screen on my laptop is still functioning, its just the touchscreen. My model is Yoga 720-12IKB.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The update may have replaced the drivers for the touch screen. You should try going to www.lenovo.com and look for support for the model of your laptop. If there is an automated support tool to check for drivers then use that, if not then search for a driver that fits the description of touch screen display. You will need to install Lenovo’s installer to set up the driver update.

Hi @DS,

Try this link and check the results.

Scroll down to Solution and select Windows 10 (if this is the installed OS)

It doesn't work. Also, Settings has said that it has Pen and Touch support even though the touchscreen clearly doesn't work. Maybe I'll try a guide to reseat the display cable and see if that works.

Did you try resetting it? There is a good chance that it will fix this issue.

Hello everyone.

It´s solved!!!!!!!! and many other little problems!!!!!!

After a lot of time I have solved my touchscreen and hotkeys problems, it was about Win10 version, drivers and BIOS config.

1rst. UDATE to win10 last version

https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/software...

2nd. Go to LENOVOS driver checksum webpage tool.

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/mx/es/produ...

3rd. Check that the Hotkey is enable in the BIOS config, use the VANTAGE button to get the BIOS configuration.

4th. If the video card is not working properly go to https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob... and run the executable file.

5th. finally you can go to DIVECE ADMINISTRATOR and uncheck the power saver in the HID I2C properties window.

People, it will take some time, but your Lenovo will work as you ever wanted or know it

SMILE, all the best
