i dropped my iphone 6s plus and when i picked it up i noticed there was a green line running from top to bottom and the bottom left corner showed no display. after a day of using it like that a blue line appeared about half an inch away from the green one. my question is, if i get a screen replacement will that fix that issue or is that an internal problem?

That sounds like a screen issue. Unfortunately, the only way to know for certain is to try a known-good replacement screen. If you buy the screen from a reputable vendor, you shouldn’t have any issues but be wary if you buy a low cost screen from eBay or Amazon as the failure rates are much higher.
