Installed new battery but system say battery required service

Installed new battery yesterday. System information say that battery required service and that the capacity is at 2108 mAh. I had discharge the battery and recharge to full again and the message is still the same.

Is the battery faulty or is there anything I can do to fix

Did you sync the battery after you installed it? If you didn’t that might be the problem.

Go to step 55 and follow the bullets at the end: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Late 2013 Battery Replacement

Hi,

How many percent your battery when its shows service?

my suggestion just charge your battery into full and drain it, try that step 3 times

Thank you rondel.

The problem is now fixed. I'd followed ifixit battery replacement step 55 to the dot and battery condition now normal with capacity of 8500+ mAH.

Thank you
