After PC connected with USB, can't hear caller

Hello,

On my desk I charge my Redmi Note 6 Pro through de USB port.

After connecting with PC I can't hear any caller.

They hear me very well, but I can only hear the other person when I turn on my speaker.

That's very annoying!

It seems that my Redmi is in a wrong setting after plugged in to pc...

I've rebooted several times, turned it on and off. Plugged it many times again through this USB port with the same PC..

Nothing seems to work.

Anyone a solution?

Big thanks!

Greetings,

Foxy

Restarting your computer or device won't change the settings. You need to find the setting in your Android system that is sending the call through your computer speakers.

It's not that it's sending through the pc speakers. It's on the Android system that I only hear the caller through speaker. The phone isn't plugged in anymore at PC....

Have you tried tapping the "Speaker" button after you accepted the call? I hope it's as simple as that, but if not let us know so we can help.

Not working by tapping the speaker button...

If your phone is still under warranty you should take it in to be replaced.

Hi @Felke V,

Try starting the phone in safe mode and check if it works OK or not.

If it does then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem and it may just have been a coincidence that it occurred when you plugged it into a PC

The trick is to find out which one is the culprit. You need to uninstall each download app, one by one, and test the phone in the “normal” mode to see if it works OK. When it does then the last app that was uninstalled was the cause of the problem. Start with the most recently installed or updated downloaded apps first.

If it still doesn’t work in safe mode, try resetting the phone using the phone’s factory restore feature and see if this resolves the problem.

Before performing the reset, backup the phone first, using the phone’s backup feature..

Be aware that a factory restore (or reset) will erase all your data and downloaded apps. It will restore the phone to its’ factory default (or last updated) condition. That is why it is important to backup the phone first.

Once you have performed the backup, reset the phone using the the factory restore feature.

When it has been reset to default, test if it works OK.

If it doesn’t you have a hardware problem.

If it works OK, using the backup that you made earlier, restore the phone to what it was, with the phone’s restore feature.

Test if it still works OK.

If it does then the reset has resolved the problem.
