Regrettably with a laptop you are usually limited to the chip on the motherboard which is not upgradeable. If you want better game play you will probably need to purchase one of the laptops designed for that purpose. I have however found one website discussion that seems to say this is posible with your laptop so I am providing you with a link to that discussion. Good luck.

+ Nice information. From the link provided by rj713 some Dell 1520's came with video cards - NVIDIA 8400M GS or 8600M GT. My understanding is that the XPS of the 15xx series is the 1530. The xps 1530 came with the 8600M GT video card. I currently am working on a Dell 1520 with water damage. It has the video integrated on the motherboard. I would go to your system information in Windows or to Dell support with your service tag # to find out what video chip set you have. If you don't have the 8400M GS, the chances are the answer is no to your ability to upgrade your graphics.
