iPhone stuck in boot loop. How do I recover it?

My phone went into a boot loop the other day while sitting on my desk. This is most certainly a software issue as I had had no issues with the hardware previously. This phone was bought new but after 1.5 years, it is now out of any kind of warranty.

I have tried letting the phone die and recharging it.

I have tried updating the phone through iTunes or with an itsw file.

I have tried factory resetting the phone through iTunes

All it does is go to an apple logo screen and then turns off. When trying to update or reset to factory, it stays on 0% (I have tried this for 6+ hours).

Are there any options that might fix my phone? Apple said a new phone (the same one) would be $300 which is completely BS. I haven’t even finished paying this one off.

A boot loop is can be a hard wear issue it can mean that its looking for a part of the phone and its not working properly. Did anything recently happen to your phone?

Yeah... I actually ended up giving up and bought a OnePlus... it sucks but, this should last me longer.

Based on your description, it actually sounds like you may have a battery issue; it’s certainly worth trying a new battery. Otherwise it’s probably a logic board issue as components can fail spontaneously and depending on what fails, it can cause boot looping. A logic board fix would certainly be less expensive than what Apple charges so you may want to explore that option.
