The trunk leaks when it rains

the gasket/seal is in good shape so I need advice as to what to do to stop the leak

what model is your Buick and do you see where the water enters the trunk?

it is a 1993 buick regal coupe. i have been unable to determine how the water gets in, but it is a big leak as the well for the spare tyre gets pretty full if the rain is heavy

When everything is dry, spread a couple of large towels in your trunk, close it up, and run a hose over the car/trunk for a minute. Then open it up and see where the leak is coming from.
