Why does my wii keep going to the remote control menu screen?

Hi, my wii keeps going to the remote control menu screen in the middle of playing a game. It is not me accidentally touching the home button on the remote. The remotes are synced with new batteries, and it happens with different games. Any ideas?

Maybe something is covering a wii controller and pushing the button down
