hi i have a galaxy s3 gt-i9300 and i upgraded it to marshmallow custom rom and when i want to run any vpn it will say unfortunately <vpn name> has stopped i tried reinstalling vpns giving them permissions and … and still nothing
i would be thankful if you even tried to help

Well, most vpns dont work most of the time, so dont expect most of them to work.

What is Marshmellow custom ROM? Custom ROMS tend to have these problems. I recently flashed my old OnePlus 2 to LineageOS and installed OpenGAPPS. The Play services are constantly stopping. It has worked in the past.
Try to flash it again and install opengapps.
