Can I replace 2.5 GHz Logic Board with 2.9 GHz Logic Board?

Hi,

Due to some misfortune, the logic board in my 13” MacBook Pro is damaged. Since the rest of the system is in perfect shape, I’d like to replace the board. I have a 2.5GHz board, can I replace it with a 2.9GHz board? All would still fit?

Thanks in advance.

With kind regards,

Sjoerd

I did this and everything works except the display is black. I’ve used safe mode, disk utility, reset NVRAM, PRAM and tried to download Catalina(36hours - didn’t). Display is still black! Help!
