My Screen won’t start, but apple logo is on.

Hi,

My MacBook Pro was bought late 2014. Never had a problem before, never been touched by water either. Today, I tried to start it, but the screen is blank.

The adapater indicator was Green, there’s a chime when I press the power button but there’s no change in the screen, it stays black. I’ve tried to turn the screen light up to maximum, and the keyboard light too, but none is working.

The apple logo is lit up though, and there’s no suspicious sound from the system.

It worked just great yesterday ...

What might the problem?

Thank you!

First thing to try is to connect your Mac to an external monitor with an adapter to see if it’s still working besides the black screen. If there’s no image on an external source it’s probably the graphic card gone bad. If the Mac is still working and there’s image it’s probably a screen or a board issue.
