My dryer won't power up

Control board was bad so we replaced it. Plugged it in and turned on breaker. Still same as before replacing board. Lights on the right side of panel are flashing. We have power coming in. Power cord is fine, outlet is fine, door switch is fine, all checked with a meter. Tried to enter Diagnostic, won’t do anything. Checked Thermal fuse and it’s fine. Lights on the right side of panel just keep flashing but nothing else works!

Model # 110.87872603. Yes, I have 240V. That's all been checked. We have power to the control board. all wiring harnesses show continuity. I'm now thinking that when the control board blew it also took out the front control boards.

Model # 110.87872603. Yes , I have 240V. I have power to the dryer, have checked continuity of all the wiring harnesses. I've checked the Thermal fuse, and every other part I can think of. This is what happened. We were remodeling and had to reroute the ductwork. Somehow the wires to the Inlet Thermistor got pulled off and I found them laying on the other side of the ductwork. They were caught on a copper wire on the motor. However, I didn't find this until after I had tried to use the dryer. When I pressed the start button, I heard a large pop, the lights all went out and then the lights on the right side of the panel started blinking. When I removed the top of the dryer it was apparent that P4 on the Machine Electronics board was burned.

Update (02/21/2019)

This is when I tracked down the wire problem and discovered the loose wire. I checked and the wiring harness was not damaged. I placed it back where it belonged. I replaced the board and ran all the tests on the Tech sheet. Everything checked out. I put it back together. Nothing! It was just like before. we've been over it and over it. We can't get it to go into diagnostics. when we press the buttons nothing happens. The left side won't light up at all and the right side just keeps blinking.I'm thinking the Console Electronics boards need replaced. Any ideas?

See if there is a pattern to the flashing lights.

The loud pop is an indication of a short. Look for a burned spot where the electricity arced, possibly on the motor. Replace whatever is burned out on the board. Use a multimeter and teat every fuse and for continuity on everything. You just don’t know what you may have shorted out. Also, make sure that both 110 legs in the wall plug are hot (one side may be blown. I know this is not an easy fix, sorry.

Have now replaced Console Electronics User Interface. Dryer now works, except I get no response when I turn the Selector Knob for the Auto Cycles, it stays on Normal . It won't change to other auto cycles. All other buttons work. I can do timed drying but only the one auto cycle.

Frankly I'm wondering if you got a good replacement console.
