MBP13" Screen gets scrambled, flickers and then beeps 3 times.

I have an issue with my MBP13" (MacBookPro8,1).

The problem has occurred 5 or 6 times the last month. I can not reproduce the problem and i can not relate it to any specific app or task.

The screen gets scrambled and flickers and then the MBP13" starts beeping 3 times in a row every 3 seconds.

Only remedy is a hard reboot.

Well, that's easy, you have a RAM problem. It's still under warranty so get it in now.

Apple MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.3 13" Early 2011 Specs

Identifiers: Early 2011 13" - MC700LL/A - MacBookPro8,1 - A1278 - 2351*

You're hard on these laptops, I'd always get AppleCare if I were you.

Thanks,

Is the issue with the memory module itself or is it in the slot/board?

by

It could be the slots but most likely the RAM. It may just need to be reseated. Here's how: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2009 RAM Replacement

by

Thanks a million, that is for sure the least invasive operation, so I'll try that first, before going back to Apple.

Hey, any respite from this problem after reseating ??
