Why won't my screen get past the apple screen?

My phone was dropped in a bucket of water, I took all the steps by putting it in a bag of rice, and letting it sit for a week. Finally I got the chance to plug it into the computer to see if it would work and it won't get past the apple start up screen. My computer doesn't acknowledge the phone is connected nor does Itunes. When I go unplug the phone from my computer it shuts right off.

I was wondering if anybody can tell me what parts I need besides a battery because i ordered one of those already.

Thank you so much.

If it's stuck on the apple screen open itunes on your comp. plug the connector into the dock on the iphone but not the computer. Press and hold the home button on its own for 10-15 secs then plug usb into computer keep holding the home button while doing this the itunes logo then appears back on your screen and then itunes will reinstall your drivers and recongnise the phone again. Then perform a full restore.
