Can you take the iPhone's Flash Storage out and use it?

If my iPhone 3GS dies, can you open it up take out the NAND Flash drive and put in Hard Drive enclosure for use?

Sorry Sid V that NAND flash is an IC on the logic board, not a separate drive. Take a look at this and you will see where it is. Unless you are really good at designing your own logic board, de-soldering IC's your idea won't work. Sorry, but wishing you good luck anyway....

Sid V after thinking about your question, I figured that you may have a pretty good idea. Getting the info of a NAND memory chip could be cool for data recovery as well as forensic discovery. Of course, also another tool to snoop into someone's private life.
