Ipad Air stuck in DFU mode - Wont charge

My ipad wont turn on at all, but it does connect to itunes, with itunes saying it’s detected an ipad in recovery mode. If I restore it the screen comes up with the logo and what not, all does what it should but when it reboots it’s still in DFU mode. It also doesn’t charge for more than 15 minutes, drawing 0.9 amps before dropping down to either 0.03 or 0.17. Hard reset does nothing, any ideas? Thanks!

I suspect you have a logic board issue. Was the tablet dropped or repaired or came into contact with water in the days/weeks leading up to this issue?

If one of the subsystems (NAND, Charging, Cameras, etc) is damaged or defective, then that will impede the boot cycle. Being stuck in DFU points to a more “critical” subsystem being affected. The only way to properly troubleshoot this is to open it up. I would check the charging system (battery, dock, charge circuit) and then start probing the power management system for clues. A micro-solderer can perform this type of troubleshooting.
