Thermal shutdown why is it happening!?

Tablet keeps saying critical thermal shutdown. No games installed only use it to type school papers when I'm not at home. I have the keyboard attachment that I use. I don't use the optional backlight on it. I'm using WPS Office app to type my paper. Just started happening tonight. Twice in the last hour. I'm about too lose my sh!+. Charges fine, worked great until tonight.

Answer this question I have this problem too

This seems to be a pretty common issue with Nextbook devices, they seem to just have very poor thermal design. Lowering your display brightness may help a bit but probably won’t solve the issue. It really is just a design flaw from the manufacturer, so there isn’t much you can do.
