Post battery replacement charging problem

Hello, I replaced the battery in an IPhone 6S last night. I followed the instructions by discharging below 10% and charged the phone overnight. The level of charge displayed never got above 28% now it seems to jump up and down and the phone resets itself frequently.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I've checked the connector again. It seem to be firmly snapped into place. If this is a defective battery how does ifixit handle that.

I suppose you did everything the right way? You did shut down the iPhone before opening it and getting in there with a screwdriver?

Thanks for the suggestions. It was a faulty battery. I was able to install the original one as a stop gap until I get a replacement. It wasn’t holding a charge well before the replacement but it’s functional.
