Random Freezing Even After Flash Drive Installed

I have an iPod 5.5 that randomly freezes. I thought it was the hard drive, so I installed a flash card. Now it will freeze during play after a few minutes. When I reset it , it goes to the Apple support screen. I’ve reseated the flash card multiple times, and it still freezes
