Do you get audio if you plug in headphones? If so then perhaps you have just damaged the speaker module

The TEAR DOWN guide will help with disassembly

How would the ear speaker not working have to do with the headphone jack working or the speaker module the loud speaker works and the mic works

by

if there is audio from the headphone jack then you can assume the audio amp is operational. As for the speaker module vs the ear speaker - my bad I was confusing them.
