iPhone 6s Plus stuck in a headphone mode

Hello everyone,

My iPhone 6s Plus has stucked in headphone mode. I did already clean the headphone hole by using a cotton bud and a hair dryer. Moreover, it was already reset all setting. Unfortunately, the problem cannot be solved.

I can hear the sound during adjusting the ringtone. I think there is no problem from water because the water indicator in the sim card slot remains white.

Are there other ways to solve this problem?

Should I change the lightening port and a headphone jack?

Thank you very much

!!!UPDATED 10/02/2019!!!

The phone can show the volume scale when I unplugged the charging port from the motherboard. I heard also the sound from the ear speaker.

!!!UPDATED 15/02/2019!!!

I changed the charging port last night. It does not look as nice as the original one, but it works. I spent about 3 and half hours to fix it. Thank you very much for the help.

You should change the charge port assembly and that will solve your headphone mode issue. Most likely you have dirt or mositure in the port and the sensor believes there is headphones stuck inside the port.

First thing to try is to unplug the charge port, if it’s not in headphone mode, replace the charge port ….

Change it completely and your issue will will be resolved.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your answer.

Did you mean I should unplug the charge port, which connects to the motherboard?

Then, I have to turn the iPhone on again and check if it remains in headphone mode.

Yes unplug and see if headphone mode is gone. If it is, replace the port. Let me know thank you

Hello Daniel,

I restored my iPhone, but it was not a way to solve the problem.

Then, I tried the way you recommended. It worked!!! I can heard the sound from the ear speaker. The phone showed also the scale of volume when I adjusted it as shown in the picture. After I completely change the headphone jack, I will inform you again.

No only way is to change port. It will be fixed after replacing. Glad it’s working! Have a good Sunday
