Why my iPad won't turn on

iPad won’t respond to anything. not even charging. it’s basically like it’s an iPad that has no battery, and it won’t even turn on or charge. Tried to turn on; nothing.

please help!!!

Either a bad power IC chip, charging chip or battery gone bad. Probably not worth fixing depending on the quotes you get at local repair shops.

Have you tried another wall charger and cable?

@phonehospital As @benjamen50 has mentioned, it's not worth fixing because you can practically buy a refurbished Air 2 for the same price.

In my experience, the charge port is the most likely culprit and it is a relatively straightforward repair (although it still requires micro-soldering), well within the value of the device. The first thing to rule out though is the battery (another inexpensive repair).

Most micro-soldering repair shops work on a no fix no fee basis so there’s not much risk on your part. If it turns out to be something more onerous, like a PMIC, then you can always choose to turn down the repair.
