Touch functionality gone, display is fine, no visible damage

Hey guys, I couldn’t find answers anywhere else so this is my last chance. I have had my Galaxy S6 for about 3 years and have never damaged it previously. Its battery isn’t very good anymore, but it worked fine - up until I dropped it facedown on a tile floor when the charger got stuck on my chair wheel.

The display (mostly) works fine; sometimes it jolts while rebooting or randomly shuts off and refuses to be turned on again for hours. When it’s active, I can navigate it with my mouse, but not with touch input. There are no cracks or damage on the glass touch panel or the LCD display beneath.

My question is, would it be possible to disassemble the device and reattach or repair the digitizer connection without entirely replacing the screen? From what I observe, the drop disconnected something inside, but didn’t actually *break* any vital element of the device.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to a concrete solution, be it positive or not!

You'll need to get the screen replaced. It is connected by a single cable and the touch screen flex is molded together with the display cable.
