1,83 ghz - how much ram can I have?

There is another thread about the question of how much ram you can add to this a1181-mac-model but it doesn't answer the question how much i can add in a a1181-model that has a 1,83 ghz processor.

So how much can i add? i want to have as much as possible.

There are 2 models of the MacBook 1.83GHz. One was the Core Duo which has a limit of 2GB of Ram, http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ma.... The other, as Mayer mentioned, is a Core 2 Duo and has a max of 4GB of RAM. If you are not sure which processor you have you can go here and enter the last 3 characters of your serial number to look up which specific model you have. You can find your serial number in the battery compartment.
