Vertical Lines On Display, Won't Go Away

Hello Everyone!

I have a early 2011 MBP that has had vertical lines for a long time but you could press on the screen and they would go away. Now that does not work and it feels like it is a permanent issue. I need this computer because it has everything on it I need. I know this is a hardware issue because if I connect to a external monitor no lines appear so it has to be a hardware problem, I think. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
