Upgrade logic board to core 2 duo

Hello,

can I upgrade my macbook pro 17" 2.16 GH Core Duo (A1151) with a logic board Core2Duo?

Models A1212- 2.33GH, A1229 -2.4GH, A1261 - 2.5GH

have same external layout but there's one that can be installed?

it is needed to change other internal parts?

I visually compared your logic board part # 661-3977 with the 2.33 GHz 661-4235. They look identical to me. To be certain, email your serial number to iFixit & welovemacs and ask them: http://www.ifixit.com/Info/contact
