T key not working on MacBook Pro

The other day the T key stopped working on my laptop. Other keys work just fine.

As far as I can remember, no liquid was spilt on the keyboard. Removing the keycap and cleaning it off of dust doesn’t seem to change anything. The key mechanism itself is okay.

What could be the root cause of the problem? Is it possible to fix the key without replacing the whole keyboard?

I’d appreciate the feedback. Thank you!
