I have a regular computer and I'm planning to buy a Mac Mini.
I do not know what 2 Duo means.
On my currently computer I got an Intel core i5 2.80GHz
Is there a difference between the 2 Duo to mine?
The 2 Duo is stronger or not?

Your computer's i5 CPU is faster than a Core 2 Duo. Core 2 Duo CPUs are older. Also, your i5 probably has 4 cores, while the Mac Mini only has 2.
