Device Will not charge or turn on.

I bought this tablet used. When I first bought it, it worked fine then the battery drained. Bought a new charger from eBay that is made for dell venue. It would not charge. tried 3 known good batteries even tried a new dell from Amazon. I’ll plug it in and the white light comes on and off again randomly.

If the Dell laptop does not turn on with either the power adapter or the battery then the mother board has probably failed. You can try removing the bottom cover and removing the CMOS battery for 10 minutes and then reconnect the CMOS battery to see if this will let the laptop start. Another common problem is the computer starts but the display is blank, that could be either the display or the mother board.

Thanks for the info. The device was functioning fine before the battery died. Dell diagnostics confirmed bad battery.
