Can I put an iPhone 7 plus battery on iPhone 6s plus?

So I have a broken iphone 7 plus with a good battery on it, and I would like to use that for my iPhone 6s Plus that has a very old battery, is it possible? What are the risks and problems i am going to face?

It won’t work, the iPhone charging circuit will just get mixed up by receiving wrong data and reboot every now and then; even with a correct connector logic side is different.

If I try to put it just for testing, is there any risk of breaking the iphone?

@pasqualottide I doubt it can damage the iphone, voltage is 3,8 for both. Once i mixed batteries and by mistake I placed one for a 6S on an iphone 6 and nothing bad happened, apart from restarts. Not recommended but in emergency it might work..be aware you're taking a risk anyhow.
