More than one screen for iPad Mini 4?

I recently purchased a new screen and digitizer for the iPad Mini 4 Wi-Fi/Cellular model A1550. The repair instructions were accurate, but…To remove the home button I was told to flip up the retaining flap and unplug the cable from the ZIF socket. All well and good but the replacement screen does not have a retaining flap and the socket is different. I can not proceed. Did I order/was I sent the wrong part? Do I need a different home button? I don’t care about the sleep/wake function I just need to be able to ‘turn on’ the home screen. (And I know I may be using the terms for screen and digitizer wrong.) Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The replacement screen for the iPad mini 4 works on both the WiFi and LTE versions of the device. If you ordered the screen from iFixit, contact support (help.ifixit.com).

I hate to argue with someone who was so quick to try to help me but there is a repair guide for the iPad Mini 4 on the ifixit site and it uses the term ZIF socket in step 31. The picture it shows is the style that I have on my iPad Mini 4 Wi Fi/Cellular but not what I was sent. Maybe I mis-communicated in my post. Thank you.

No worries, my mistake :>). You mean this right?

I was thinking of the HB connection on the logic board, not the actual screen assembly. Sometimes the retaining flap can be damaged or pried off. Without it, the connector won't work properly. Contact your vendor and have them address this issue. You should probably post (add it to your original question) a picture so that we can see the connector to give you better direction.
