Why is my iPod stuck at a white screen?

I recently purcahsed a faulty iPod Touch on eBay and have been trying to fix it and have had a modicum of success. At first it wouldn't respond to any kind of power and so I ordered a replacement battery and it now is recognised in iTunes as an iPod Touch and can be synced to. The only problem was that the Display was just white. At first I thought this was because I'd damaged the display when I'd tried to fix another iPod so I ordered a new one but it still exhibits the same problem, does this mean the Logic Board has gone or is there another fix that I should try?

In addition when I connected it to iTunes I did a format to restore but the Display is still white.

Thank you very much

Yes, now I've replaced the digitiser I tried it and it's still white, it's looking more and more like a logic board problem

You are correct. That definitely sounds like a bad/damaged logic board. I recommend replacing it and hopefully it will fix the problem.
