What Should I replace on my IPad?

Hi, I’m relatively new to the realm of Ifixit and am not sure what to replace on my IPad Air. The screen is moderately cracked but ghosting occurs and some areas of the screen do not respond to touch. Should I replace the LCD along with the front panel?

Thanks.

You’ll need to replace the front panel. The LCD is OK as long as it still shows display and no horizontal or vertical lines.

Before installing the new front panel you’ll need to bend back that top right corner so that it sits in properly.

Also, once I remove the front panel, do you think I’d be a good idea to clean the LCD? If so how?

Ok. First of all, this is extremely hard to do. You need to invest in the right tools and other things. Next, iPads are WAY more fragile than iPhones. One wrong move and no more iPad. It would be a little bit more expensive taking it to apple, but there would be NO risk. That’s what I recommend.

Well, I'd rather attempt to fix it for $50 rather than pay $249 for Apple to do it.
