Is Replacing Display Housing Possible?

Hello!

My Macbook was damaged in an accident and as a result, the back LCD housing and the glass were severely damaged, but the LCD is still fine (as I can still see stuff, but the glass is shattered and I can't close the lid).

I can purchase parts to replace the glass, as well as the back housing, but I'm not willing to pay for a complete brand new package (since the LCD is perfectly fine), so...

Is it possible to take apart my current display, transfer my (good) LCD to the new back housing, stick on a complete new sheet of glass, reattach the hinges, and be good to go?

For example, in this picture (http://www.instructables.com/files/orig/...), some of the chips are still attached onto the back display housing (eg. the camera?). Is it possible to also move those to the new back housing?

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it!

Frankly I would compare the price difference between what you can sell the LCD for on eBay and what you can buy the whole unit for and forget all the labor and possible errors and breakage.
