3 Forgot Sign In Password, how can I factory reset it?
Its my little brothers computer and my mom changed the password to sign in at boot up. I tried holding the shift button as I restart it, but in order to reset it, I need the old password. Is there another way to factory reset this without needing a password ? Need it to use it to recover data from a faulty SD card.

To clarify about recovering data - do you need data/programs on the PC or just the hardware (i.e. the SD card reader)?
