Installed new Samsung SSD but Time Machine can't find destination

Hi all! I installed a new Samsung SSD 860 EVO in my macbook pro and backed up my hard drive to an external drive (both are done). Now I am trying to use Time Machine to restore my computer to the newly installed ssd but when I get to the “Select a Destination” step it says “Searching for disks…” and can’t seem to find anything. Please help!

Did you replace the HD SATA cable? Often times you need to as the original cable is not able to support the higher data flows of the SSD MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2012) Hard Drive Cable.

You should install the OS onto the new drive first before restoring. Restart your system and hold the Command (⌘)-R keys to get into internet recovery.

Re-seat the SATA cable into your SSD. Have you confirmed this SSD is functional by using it in an external enclosure or HD dock?
