hey kevin,

in most of these cases where either the battery no longer with us or the power PCB bust. to find out which it is you will need to open the speaker using guide: Bose SoundLink Mini Battery Replacement

and then using a multimeter to see if the battery can hold charge if the battery is actually dead then you will have to get a new battery. otherwise see if there is anything unusual with the speaker using this guide:

Bose SoundLink Mini Button Switch Circuit Board Replacement

i wish you good luck

I discovered after several attempts to charge it via the Multi-function button, I simply replaced the cable with a new cable (was my hubby's shaving cord) and VOILA!! The Bose mini 2 charged without even using the cradle.

100% charged --working fabulous!!!

Have you checked the connector port is clean and undamaged/loose?

Also check that the cable/plug is undamaged- not sure if this charger has an indicator light that it is receiving power?

Try a known working charger (the pin connector on these is fairly common).

Press and hold down the centre “multifunction” button (the button with 3 dots) for at least 10 seconds, you should see all of the LEDS light up, this resets the speaker.

Mine wouldn’t charge on the cradle or via the cable even tried another charger and cable.

After reset it works normally again.

That's fantastic! I tried multiple cables and used both the cradle and the port and couldn't get any of them to charge it. I held down the multifunction button for 10 seconds when I saw this entry, everything reset and it appears to be charging!

I have no “mute” button. My Soundlink Mini speaker works, but I am concerned about flashing red light. I have purchased many Bose products, but I will be hesitant now. This was once a great company.
