Lock phone needed to work

I buy a 8+ from someone online and they calm to have the info to unlock it but never gave it to me it supposed to be a gift for Christmas…

So, I want to know if I take out the old motherboard and put in a new one to unlock it and activate it before next week would EVERYTHING BE remove n be a brand new phone??

Replacing the logic board is, essentially, replacing the phone. Everything is stored on the logic board (data, locks…everything) so if you put a new logic board in, you have a new phone :>).

Realize that when you replace the logic board, your TouchID will no longer be paired and will be disabled. Since this is no longer a physical button in the iPhone 8+, the home button will not work either. You must get the home button that was paired with the replacement logic board to maintain TouchID functionality.

There is a better way, plug it into iTunes and you can reset the phone to factory settings. If that doesn’t work I believe if you get the password wrong enough times it automatically resets. Hope this helps!

There is a better way. If you plug the device into iTunes you should be able to reset it that way. If that does not work , I believe if you get the password wrong enough times it automatically resets the phone. You could try that, hopefully it works! Good luck.
