How to get water out of a cracked screen?

I dropped my iPhone a month or two ago, and it was fine apart from the cracks going up and down my screen. I usually put it in the bathroom with me to play music while showering but I think I tried to change the song with a slightly wet finger. All is usually fine and I just wipe it off, however my screen was cracked and water went through those cracks.

I now have a big black smudge of water interrupting the bottom left hand side of my screen. My screen still works perfectly fine, as I can still use the area under this water smudge, and when I press lightly on the smudge, you can see the water move slightly underneath.

Recently the smudge has gotten somehow bigger, still not causing any damage apart from lack of picture in that area, but some parts have disappeared and the screen in that area is back to normal. I know that it has not damaged the screen but is just sitting inbetween the screen and the lighting (LCD?)

Ive tried putting my phone in rice overnight (nothing happened, as I expected), laying my phone screen down on folded tissue overnight (when the water mark first appeared- nothing happened), and when the water mark was smaller and moveable I tried to move it up to a deep looking crack so it would drain out (I was unable to move it to that crack as it seems to have a line of movement and nothing happened)…

Is there a solution to getting this water out from under the screen? It’s been in there for around a month and a half and it’s just annoying. I’m going to my phone screen fixed soon anyway but will this cost extra to get the water out?

Thanks :)

The waters in the screen and as such will be gone once the screen has been replaced . If the repair shop is honest they will not charge extra as they wont do anything more to replace the screen whether it has water in it or not. As for getting the water out you can try desiccant gel .(rice is for eating not fixing) It may draw the water out but i wouldn’t count on there not being some kind of lasting stain even if you can get the water out

if your getting the screen replaced it should be fine, no way of getting the water or mark away as the glass is glued to the lcd panel
