white dot or blobs on screen
My daughter's Macbook, running 10.4.11, has white blobs all over the screen. They do not move and do NOT appear in 256 color mode or in safe boot.
Have tried many things to fix problem.

There is a possibility that this is covered under a Apple recall. If we knew the EXACT model we might be able to tell you if it qualifies. Look in the system profiler "about this mac) and tell us was it says under Graphics/Display and tell us what chipset Model you have. Thanks

Yes, but I replaced the screen from this MacBook into a machine with a cracked LCD and got her back up and running. In an e-mail conversation with a tech, I was told that this was likely a video ram chip problem which could be fixed only with a complete logic board replacement. Ain't surface mount technology great, no repairs possible unless you have a very skilled hand or friend!!!!
