iPhone 5s "No Service/Searching" After iOS 12 Update

Hi Everyone, I Personally have the "No Service/ Searching" issue after installing iOS 12, and it was working perfectly until this issue came... so i factory reset + Restore using iTunes thinking it would fix the issue... and now it cant activate because i think it cant detect any sim card in or probably cus of the "No Service/ Searching" issue ... its an old second hand iPhone 5s and i kinda really want it to keep working till i get the 7 in few months. I've tried hard reset, ejecting and inserting sim but nothing worked... soo i'm wondering if there is any other way i can fix this or will apple role out any update so that will fix this issue?

so after a hardwork of trying to fix my iphone from the issue i have been having. i have come to find out that the mother board has been damaged, cus the tool that ive been using to fix my phone with or my phone its self arent showing me my phones imei number anymore just a N/A. so sadly there will be no point of fixing it, but thanfully im getting the 7 in a few days time, but still wished i could keep a hold of it when it was workin, aside from from the regrets a page in this website made me realize the problem my phone had and how to detect them ( the tool i used and the user explanation) : “ your iPhone 5s could not be activated because the activation server ca ” thanks to the user and the tool that helped me.

Have a go at cleaning the sim reader with isopropynol.

I’d say its likely a problem with the OS if it only occured when u updated. By that I mean it likely failed to install a kernal properly and is now failing to activate said connected feature in your case cell service. I’d recommend a full restore. DON’T RESTORE FROM A BACKUP of that ios 12 version tho. If u do u will just be stuck in the same cycle of having issues since u are using an image of that bad corrupt ios 12 to restore from.

So save whatever files u want as backups. Then do a full wipe and restore. That should fix it. If not then its a hardware problem. Good luck
