fault code 4SNS/40000000/Th1 stored

Hi, couple day ago my Macbook starts shut down randomly and freeze after wake ups. Ran Hardware test twice- same fault stored

4SNS/40000000/TH1

googled fault code- looks like thermal sensor problem

installed SMSfan control- CPU temp around 60 celsius- fan speed 1800 rpm

What does it mean? is it fixeble?

TH1 should be the sensor on the heat-sink IIRC

You may simply have a clogged heat-sink, faulty fan or need to renew the thermal compound on the heat-sink. It could however be a faulty sensor.

Thanks,

just re-installed heat sink, replaced thermal paste. Found damaged connector on one

of sensors( from previous repair). Performed hardware test again the same fault ... now looking for new

heat sink with fan
