Audio port not working after repair

I replace the digitizer and battery on one of these and it worked well. Customer reports that the audio port no longer works. Since I didn’t work on or remove that portion of the phone, what could I have done to cause this? @refectio

Did you disconnect the Lightning Port connector by any chance? It is surrounded by small components, some of which directly communicate with the headphone jack. If you accidentally pried some off, this would cause your issue.

Otherwise, there’s not much you can do to impact the headphone when changing just the screen and battery…unless a tool went astray during the repair. If you have a jewellers loupe, do a thorough inspection of the area around the battery and Lightning port connector.
