To answer that correctly we need to know the exact model of your computer. What makes you think its bad?

Please give the last three letters of your serial number for identification. Your logic board may also be able to be repaired. By the way, I've never seen a failure of a board on this model.

by

ZE3 are the last three of the serial... The issue is as follows... The Power LED comes on when the power button is push the 2nd LED Flashes on then off immediately the fans twitch with this Flash and the system sits no further response.

Your diagnostic LEDs indicate a failed power supply. This is Apple part # 661-4670: iMac Intel 20" 2.4/2.66 GHz EMC 2210 Power Supply

Here's how to install it: iMac Intel 20" EMC 2133 and 2210 Power Supply Replacement

The video card will be either 661-4672 ATI Radeon HD 2600XT or a 661-4673 ATI Radeon HD 2400XT

The logic board is 661-4675

If you are now getting a light on #1 & #2 but not three, reseat the video card. LED Startup Sequence LED #1 = Power available. If no LED is visible: • Verify AC source • Verify known-good AC cable is connected • Verify cable connection between AC inlet and power supply • Verify cable connection between power supply and logic board • Verify power supply LED #1 + LED #2 = Power available, and system is powered on. If second LED is not visible when power button is pressed: • Verify power button connection to logic board • Verify power button functionality • Verify cable connection between power supply and logic board • Verify power supply • Verify logic board LED #1 + LED #2 + LED #3 = Power available, system is powered on, and video card found. If third LED is not visible after power on: • Verify that MXM video card is seated properly • Verify logic board

Pretty sure the 2.66Ghz only came with the HD 2600 card

welovemacs listed both, I try not to make these things up

NP, I would never expect you to post anything that you did not believe to be accurate. I have not seen a "standard" config with that combo nor seen any info suggesting its a custom option. That said maybe I just haven't come across it yet :-)

To know either hardware or software faulty, just pull-out the hard disk and switch-ON the computer. Display the BIOS setting for a while. If computer do hanging the problem came from hardware (logic board). If not the problem came from hard disk (software) or hd itself was faulty.
