Is it possible to waterproof iPod like 'swimman' do?

Swimman waterproof Apple iPods from the inside. Have you done a teardown on one of their products to see if it's possible to replicate at home? I'm guessing they simply smother the internal components in silicone and replace the cover.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Ifixit has done a teardown of the second generation iPod Shuffle. I would think that if you wanted to water seal it, you would have to seal the shuffle/loop switch as well as the headphone jack. If you do decide to give it a shot, be sure to let us know how it turns out.

I have seen boxes that are made to water prof iPods. I would search the web first to see if it fit your price range. You always have the risk of braking some thing past what you can fix.
